Enterprise Group Environmental Statement

As part of our commitment to the care of our environment Enterprise Services Group only use products that are environmentally friendly and we actively try to reduce our carbon footprint as a group by examining all the areas of the business that we are able to change and recycle or re use wherever we can.

As a leading provider of business support services, a significant impact on the environment from our activities will be the use of vehicles, electricity and the generation of waste. These areas are actively addressed and with this in mind we are looking to introduce an action plan to show a measurable reduction by the introduction of more fuel efficient vehicles as well as innovative ways to reduce waste and use of power.

We are able to recycle a large percentage of our garden waste by using several methods including shredding, chipping, composting and we are in the early planning stages of a project to recycle all rainwater (pre treatment) for the window cleaning side of the business.

As part of the induction process each employee is reminded of his or her responsibility to minimise our carbon footprint and how being aware of certain factors cannot only help reduce our impact on the environment but can actually save ourselves and our customers money. Key points highlighted are:

	Switch off any appliance / machine as soon as it’s finished with and do not leave it running unnecessarily.
	Switch off any office or factory lights as soon as tasks have been completed.
	Cut travel distance and therefore fuel by the use of Satellite navigation systems.
	Keep all chemical use to a minimum.
	Make sure no electrical devices are left in standby mode unless it’s absolutely essential to the operation.
	Encourage customers to adopt recycling of rubbish if not already engaged in a similar function.

As part of this plan the management are raising environmental awareness with staff, customers and suppliers at every opportunity and exploring the possibilities of introducing ISO 1400 sometime in the near future.
